About

This site is dedicated to wildlife and landscapes of Amelia Island and its environs. The site is starting out small but I will be adding new photos to it on a regular basis.

I retired from service in the federal government in 2016 and then immediately began working for Cross-Cultural Communications, LLC (owned then by my wife who started the company) and for most of that time I was its director of online training.  That ended with the sale of the company in May of 2022 and the two of us have almost fully retired.

For about the past ten years or so my work in the government and then my work for CCC required developing skills in filming, photography, video editing, photo editing and sound recording and editing.

Now that I have some free time on my hands I have been putting together this site with the hope of getting it up and running in November of 2022.

We fell in love with the Island during a short vacation in February 2019 the last day of which we found ourselves in a local real estate office. A few months later we owned a property on the Island which we were going to use as a rental for whenever we were not here ourselves. Finally in the summer of 2020 we made the decision to move to Amelia Island permanently and settle in a part it which we call Narnia.

Hope you enjoy the photos and will come back from time to time to see what’s new. I plan to add new items about once a week.
